Our Teams

Mandy Lape-Freeberg I am delighted to be a part of this community. I began as the Senior Pastor on October 1, 2017, a month that celebrated the 500th anniversary of the beginning of Protestantism. The timing was fortuitous, as it afforded me an opportunity to focus upon some essential basics of our tradition. I love theology. Having conversations about God, Christ, faith, church, worship, service, mercy, and grace thrill me. Although I love to read, and church history is a particularly favorite topic, I find that the best discussions about faith occur in our day to day lives, often wrapped around a particular life dilemma. Rather than understanding theology as an ancient topic concerned with esoteric ideas, I understand theology as the foundation upon which we build our lives. My goal is to help make the richness and graciousness of theology more recognizable as we live out our lives together. I hope to organically and naturally equip people with the theological tools to interpret and navigate their lives with more joy and insight.

The Rev. Dr. Andi Lloyd came to ministry by way of ecology. She was professor of biology at Middlebury College from 1996 until 2020, and served as the Dean of the Faculty from 2012 until June, 2019.  In her work as an ecologist, she studied the effects of climate change on forests in Alaska and Siberia and taught classes on plant ecology, evolution, and climate change.  Andi left Middlebury College in June of 2019 to pursue a call to ordained ministry in the United Church of Christ. She graduated from Andover Newton Seminary at Yale Divinity School in 2022 and was ordained to ministry on June 5, 2022.

In addition to her scientific writing, Andi is co-author of the book Letters from the Ecotone: Ecology, Theology, and Climate Change, the writing of which helped her to realize that ecology and pastoral ministry —two vocations that seem so different on the surface — were simply two different stretches of the same beautiful path.  She continues to find inspiration in the brackish waters where ecology and theology meet.

Andi served as Pastor at the Trinitarian Congregational Parish of Castine, UCC, from July 2022 until September 2025.  She accepted a call to The Church of Christ at Dartmouth College in June 2025, and is looking forward with delight to October 19, 2025, when she will begin serving this community. We are delighted to have her join our family!

You can read more about Andi’s work as a scientist on her website.  Her sermons — and eventually, she hopes, other writings about ecology and theology —can be found on her Substack, View from the Ecotone.

Henry Danaher, our Director of Music, arrived in Hanover to attend Dartmouth in 2004. He leads our choral and handbell programs, our Ives Recital Series, and prepares and directs music for all of our worship services. He is particularly avid as a collaborator and we frequently feature guest soloists and chamber musicians on Sunday mornings. Some of his past work has included included accompanying the Dartmouth College Glee Club, numerous student and studio recitals, and the Culley Concerto Competition.

With the William Jewett Tucker Center, he is Dartmouth’s College Organist, arranging the maintenance of the pipe organ at Rollins Chapel, and performing for events such as the MLK, Jr. Day Celebration and Baccalaureate, for Alumni memorials, and, in a new addition to campus life, preparing and performing quarterly organ recitals. He leads, collaborates with, and performs for a wide variety of musical projects locally, gives frequent recitals, and provides music for events, weddings and memorials, and also maintains a small private teaching studio focusing on the pipe organ.

As a Dartmouth undergraduate, Henry majored in Mathematics, attending the Math in Moscow program in 2005 on an American Mathematical Society Scholarship; belonged tothe Glee Club, Handel Society, and Chamber Singers; earned academic citations in the Psychology of Learning and in Counterpoint; served as a teaching assistant for music theory and conducting courses; music-directed student musicals such as The Last Five Years; participated in a conducting Masterclass taught by Helmuth Rilling; performed and conducted with the Dartmouth Chamber Orchestra; and was awarded the Mark L. Lebowitz 1977 Memorial Prize in the Performing Arts.

The Church of Christ at Dartmouth College is the third UCC church Henry has served.

Communication & Production Coordinator

Janet Milley joined the team at CCDC in April 2025. After spending 20 years in the technology sector and reflecting on her next chapter she wanted to find a way to “give back” which lead her to this role.

As part of her next chapter she also opened her own real estate investment company, named after her two children, K & D Investments. This lead her to a position on the Hanover Zoning Board of Adjustment.

When, or should I say, if, she has spare time you will find her browsing real estate listings, planning her next project around her house, at her family’s camp in Moultonborough, NH or rowing on the Connecticut River with UVRF.
